PARTNER WITH US
Sepsis Australia relies on collaboration and partnerships to make a measurable impact on the burden of sepsis. There are many ways and opportunities to partner with Sepsis Australia – each one intended to foster meaningful relationships and drive positive outcomes. We invite sepsis survivors and their families and carers, and families bereaved by sepsis, along with professional organisations and industry to partner with us on advocating and lobbying to change the impact of sepsis, raising awareness and fundraising, and getting involved in our projects on prevention, education, research, and improving care and support for sepsis survivors, their families and loved ones, and those who have lost loved ones to sepsis.
Consumer Partners and AdvocaTES
Consumers in healthcare are those people, their families and loved ones who use the health system. Consumer partners are critical for Sepsis Australia to achieve its mission. The value of our consumer partners contribution through their lived experience, knowledge and insights, and professional and personal expertise cannot be overstated. The Sepsis Australia Consumer Partner and Advocacy Program (SACPAP) provides opportunities to connect with others impacted by sepsis, through discussion forums and the review of materials within advisory groups or as an individual on projects, research studies and many other activities.
Any level of involvement in the Program is welcome and valued. Your personal stories are invaluable to improved sepsis outcomes for all.

Raise Awareness and Fundraise
Every story highlights the indiscriminate impact of sepsis and emphasises the urgent need for awareness-raising and advocacy to improve outcomes for all those affected. The sharing of personal stories is the most powerful catalyst for change in diagnosis, treatment, and care. Sepsis Australia invites those with lived experience to share their story on the Sepsis Australia website to raise awareness, educate, inform funding requests, and lobby for legislative change. The impact of sepsis on an individual can create a ripple effect, inspiring friends, family, and community to take action by raising awareness and fundraising in support. Sepsis Australia supports fundraising efforts by providing a toolkit to support fundraising which includes information sheets, media templates, and donation information.
The Sepsis Australia team can provide guidance and support for your event.
Industry Collaboration and Sponsorship
Industry partners are invited to collaborate on education, research and other mutually beneficial projects that address the burden of sepsis. The Sepsis Australia collaborative includes clinicians, professional societies and colleges, educators, researchers and academics, and health leaders at the state, national, regional (Asia-Pacific Sepsis Alliance) and global level. Sepsis Australia’s host organisation, The George Institute for Global Health (TGI), is an independent medical research institute aiming to improve the health of millions of people worldwide by generating effective, evidence-based and affordable solutions to the world’s biggest health challenges. Sepsis is a key strategic focus area of TGI which is headquartered in Sydney, with major centres in China, India and the UK, with projects in more than 45 countries and affiliations with world-class universities.

Philanthropic Opportunities
Sepsis Australia operates only because The George Institute for Global Health, a not-for-profit medical research institute, provides the program with in-kind support and research funding when available in recognition of the need for a national response to prevent and tackle the burden of sepsis. With no dedicated funding source, Sepsis Australia relies on donations and actively seeks philanthropic partnerships to support their work and decrease the burden of sepsis for all Australians. Because Sepsis can affect anyone with any infection at any time, Sepsis Australia’s work has a broad reach, touching everyone. This provides a wide range of opportunities for organisations with aligned values to raise their profile and be part of life-changing initiatives. Why not make your organisation or charity the first to partner and support Sepsis Australia to tackle the burden of sepsis in Australia.
